We’re looking for an Assistant Survey & Route Engineer to support in the technical aspects of cable survey tendering as well as marine survey delivery.

The individual will assess and adjustment survey specifications to suit project needs so they optimise the ability to design submarine power and fibre optic cable routes. The role requires working with survey contractors, attending survey project meetings and representing OceanIQ for survey related activities generally.

The role also involves working with the route planning team to assist in the production of technical design studies that quantify potential risks to future submarine cable systems, using our corporate GIS and marine survey and cable data.

Many of the tasks and activities delivered by this role require specialist knowledge of marine cable installation. A structured in-house training and development program will be provided to provide this knowledge and help personal career development.
