    BT Proximity Study for Borssele Offshore Windfarm.

    OceanIQ collaborated with British Telecommunications (BT) to conduct a Proximity Study on the consequences of repairing a submarine telecommunication cable within the designated area of the Borssele Offshore Windfarm. This collaboration led to the creation of a new repair approach known as the Cable Repair And Lay Through (CRALT).

    Kincardine Offshore Floating Wind Farm

    Cable Route Development
    Grupo Cobra’s Kincardine wind farm is one of the world’s first floating offshore wind farms and lies 15 km off the Aberdeenshire coast in Scotland.
    Survey results identifed boulders within the vicinity of the cable routes.

    Danish Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm

    OceanIQ® provided route engineering services for all 72 inter array cable routes for the Danish Kriegers Flak Offshore Wind Farm located 15-40 kilometres off the Danish coastline in the Baltic Sea.

    Export Cable Constructability Assessment
    A cable constructability study with research into all the geohazards, human hazards, constraints and influences over the routing of a HVAC submarine export cable corridor between East Anglia and the windfarm development site in the Southern North Sea.

    GF1 HVDC Interconnector, Guernsey to Normandy, France

    Cable Landing Engineering Study
    An engineering study with an assessment of 6 landing points options and the installation methodologies available to achieve each landing with an appreciation of all the geohazards, human hazards, constraints and influences over the routing of this proposed HVDC submarine cable.

    Sheringham Shoal Offshore Windfarm

    Cable Route Development
    The work carried out on this project was part of a larger project with total costs of €110m. OceanIQ® and Visser and Smit formed a Joint Venture to install the export and array cables at Sheringham Shoal, an element of this service was to design and engineer the final cable routes.

    Hibernia Express, Canada-UK

    Hibernia Atlantic commissioned OceanIQ® to undertake a Desk Top Study with a very special objective – design a new transatlantic system with the lowest latency possible between New York and London. The result was a 4,594km repeatered system on a completely new route across the Atlantic.

    Uninett Cable System, Svalbard in the Arctic Circle

    Desk Top Study
    At 79° North, Svalbard sits inside the Arctic Circle and is the most northerly permanently occupied settlement in the world. Global Marine Groups’ Route Engineering team surveyed, engineered and installed a fibre optic cable system connecting Longyearbyen to Ny-Ålesund via two 250km long unrepeatered cables in a ring configuration.
